Outing

This year’s Halloween Outing will bring you to a unique place with little-known views over Prague. Hold onto your hats so you won’t lose them! This year’s Outing will go through Parukářka Park and Křížek hill!

Changing Room

You are reading correctly! For the first time in the Halloween Outing's history, we've managed to secure you a changing room to get into your furry self and to store your belongings at as well! One covered tennis court hall will be secured just for us, in Olšanská Tennis Centre, located in the immediate vincinity of the Outing's route. The court hall will be locked tight during the Outing, so you can freely leave your belongings there, but please keep in mind that we do not bear any responsibility for your belongings, so we strongly advise you to take all your valuables with you.

The court hall has an artificial grass surface, so you don't need to worry about getting your clothes or fursuit dirty. Before entering, please clean your shoes from dirt, and in case of strong mud pollution, take off your shoes before entering the court hall. In order to avoid damaging the surface, please carry your luggages by hand when inside the court hall. Due to a limited capacity and a privacy for the fursuiters, we kindly as only the fursuiter and max of one of their spotter to enter the court hall.

Route

Starting point of the Outing will be at the Chelčického Day-care and Elemetary School, near the entrance to the Olšanská Tennis Centre.

The route will then lead to a mild hill, entering the Parukářka Park. In order to not get you tired right away, we'll have our first refreshment break right after it, also giving you an opportunity to take some unique photos with lovely backdrops around you before we even start seeing the lovely views.

After the first break, we'll continue going mildly uphill, crossing over the Křížek hill. Right after it we'll do our Group Photo - in a place of magnificent view very few know about, covering most of the Prague's historical city centre. We'll also have our second refreshment break on the same spot, so that everyone has an opportunity to take a picture with a marvelous view themselves! After that, we'll just slowly head downhill back to our starting position, where our journey will end.

Most of the route will go through shaded areas inside of the Park. Still, be wary of your own physical health and don't be afraid to stop to rest individually or seek some of our helperteam or orgateam members in case of nausea or overheating.

This year’s innovation are fixed refreshment points, where our Water Carriers will wait for you to come to them. The water will not be following us around for the whole time, yet per urgent request, we will be able to secure water on call. In total, over 150 litres of water and 300 straws will be ready for your needs.

Dos and don’ts:

We are fully aware that you want to enjoy the Outing and yourself to its fullest. We kindly ask you though, always remember that you are in a public area, so keep your behaviour and noise levels on a reasonable level. Don’t divert from the Outing’s route, don’t enter various businesses alongside the route in your Fursuit, try to care about your surroundings and most importantly, always respect the instructions of the Orgateam and Helper’s team.

If you are carrying a speaker, try to keep its volume on a reasonable level. If there are multiple people with speakers around you, do not try to overpower their music.

Be very careful around the viewpoints. Railings are often not as strong as they look like. Walls might not be as tall and wide as they seem. It is completely normal for someone to accidentaly bump into you in the rush of the outing. Do not lean on or climb the rampasses and railings.

Don’t walk on the grass unless absolutely necessary. Do not step into flower beds or ornamental flowers under any circumstances. Don’t damage your surroundings and nature.

Refusing to follow the Organizers and Helpers instructions will lead to you being left behind for the wild Prague’s predators.

When do we start?

Outing will begin at 13:00 at the Chelčického Day-care and Elemetary School. Be on time, the Outing cannot wait for anyone! The whole journey won’t take longer than three hours in total.

What’s the Route?

Most of the Outing will lead through the Parukářka Park. The Outing is about 1,6 km long and will overcome a total elevation of ~56 meters (both uphill and downhill).

And how to get there?

Best to get here is from the tram stop Olšanské náměstí. It is less than five minutes on foot to the starting place of the Outing from this stop.
